Alice Waters

Alice Waters is an American chef, restaurateur, and author born in 1944. In 1971, she opened Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California. Her work is recognized for pioneering the farm-to-table movement and establishing the foundations of California cuisine through her writing and culinary practice.
