Gary Giddins

Gary Giddins is an American author and music critic born in 1948. He served as a long-time contributor to The Village Voice, where he wrote the Weather Bird column from 1973 until 2003. In 1986, he co-founded the American Jazz Orchestra alongside John Lewis, an organization dedicated to presenting jazz repertory performances featuring notable artists.
