Judith Butler
Judith Butler is an American philosopher and gender theorist whose work has significantly influenced political philosophy, ethics, and queer theory. Since 1993, she has taught at the University of California, Berkeley, and currently serves as the Maxine Elliot Professor in the Department of Comparative Literature. She is widely recognized for her foundational books, including Gender Trouble and Bodies That Matter, which challenge conventional notions of identity and gender performativity.
