Manfred Schneckenburger

Manfred Schneckenburger (1938–2019) was a German art historian and curator specializing in modern and contemporary art. He is notable for serving as the curator of documenta 6 in 1977 and documenta 8 in 1987. He remains the only individual, aside from the exhibition's founder Arnold Bode, to have led the documenta exhibition twice.
