Michael Lobel

Michael Lobel is an art historian and critic who serves as a professor at Hunter College and The Graduate Center, CUNY. He previously held teaching positions at Bard College and SUNY Purchase. A graduate of Wesleyan University, Lobel earned his PhD in art history from Yale University and received the 28th Annual Eldredge Prize in 2016 for his book John Sloan: Drawing on Illustration.
