Sid Marty

Sid Marty is a Canadian writer, poet, and singer born in 1944. He spent twelve years working as a park warden for Parks Canada in various national parks, an experience that heavily influenced his non-fiction and poetry. A graduate of Sir George Williams University, Marty has published five non-fiction books and five poetry collections, including The Black Grizzly of Whiskey Creek, which won the 2008 Banff Mountain Book Festival Grand Prize.
