Zoe Wicomb

Zoë Charlotte Wicomb was a South African author and academic who resided in the United Kingdom from the 1970s until 2025. Her 1987 debut, You Can't Get Lost in Cape Town, is a collection of inter-related, semi-autobiographical short stories set during the Apartheid era. Her work as a writer and scholar earned significant critical recognition throughout her career.
