Zora Neale Hurston

Zora Neale Hurston was an American writer, anthropologist, folklorist, and filmmaker. Her extensive body of work includes four novels, most notably Their Eyes Were Watching God, alongside over 50 short stories, plays, an autobiography, and ethnographies. Through her research on Hoodoo and Caribbean Vodou, she established foundational approaches to ethnography and Africana Studies that explored racial struggles in the early 20th-century American South.
